Built for Michigan basements

Cold walls, moisture and low ductwork are what make most basement finishes feel unfinished. We plan insulation, vapor control and soffits before the first stud goes up, so the space stays dry, warm and comfortable year round.

Bedrooms done legally

A basement bedroom needs a proper egress window under the Michigan Residential Code. We size and install egress windows and wells so the room is safe, permitted and adds real value when you sell.

Questions

Basements FAQ

Do I need a permit to finish my basement?

Yes. Finishing a basement requires a building permit and usually electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits. We pull them and schedule the inspections.

How long does a basement finish take?

Most take five to eight weeks depending on size, bathrooms and egress work. Larger finishes with bars and bathrooms take longer. Your estimate includes a schedule.

Can you add a bathroom in my basement?

Yes. Depending on where your sewer line sits, it may need an ejector pump or breaking out concrete for drains. We look at this during the walkthrough and price it up front.

What flooring works best in a basement?

Epoxy, luxury vinyl plank and tile handle moisture best. Carpet works in bedrooms with the right pad.
